    Came across a possible solution on another forum. Do let us know if this resolves the problem. Seems that the fuel tank bracket has an inherent flaw.  The bushing (see number 11 in drawing below) located in the bracket to which the tank attaches, has enough play that intern causes this rattle...

    Great thread 'Dogs. December i installed a GIPro gear indicator for my DL650, works like a charm. Found the local agent in Johannesburg. Now i dont have to try keep tabs on what gear i'm in and instead enjoy the pleasure of riding the breeze.
