    My son has a 2005 Dakar with 25k on that I need to get some TLC for in the Cape Town region. The bike has spent a bit of time standing but used every month or two. Who is recommended that I could send the bike to. I am out of town a bit so a challenge to do it myself at this point.

    To Sani and beyond.

    It was great weather in Lesotho this weekend, did Katsi on tar as well as up and down Sani.  2000km in 4 days. Did an overnight at the Sani chalets, expensive but warm water, a fire and hot meals go's a long way when solo. Some great pictures. I am sure a lot of us crossed paths this weekend...

    a I Pad mini as a gps?

    I run a 660, moved up from an old ETrex , screen got a bit small when moving fast...... this is the dogs bollocks.. you need to be a bit of a GPS geek to get a handle of all the features but its been well worth it for me. I got all the Garmin fittings and fixtures for handle bar mounting and power.

    E-10 Mitas

    Thanks for the input guys. I was a bit worried about the E-7 as I hear it's a bit slick in the wet on tar. I ride it like a motard  on the tar and find the TKC good. I dont mind a tire that moves around a bit as long as it has definable limits.

    Has anyone got experience long term on these tires? I need to replace on the 990 soon and am looking at these or TKC's . I ride about 50/50 but pretty hard on tar.  :sip:
