Love the enthusiasm and advice here - I had the regulator replaced today. Yesterday the engine would rev up and then just die down. Upon switching on any lights/hooter etc. the engine also died. I am still convinced there is a power leak of some sort but the bike shop thinks not, so I'll see if...

The loose wire could be an option as this is not the best quality bike. It also did not have any problems in the first year but after the first "service" at the agents (now liquidated) the trouble started. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
