    Finance for Motorbikes.

1/4 oor 5 is bietjie vroeg om "aand" te noem, maar glad nie te vroeg vir 'n Sardyn nie. Drie duisend bibberende bloublaasies!

    To all the Tollgate Skieters......

In my opinion guys, if you set of on a toll road, you enter into a contract to pay the required fees. By evading the toll fees, we bikers loose the moral highground in ongoing negotiations to reduce the toll for motorcycles. There are better ways to protest the unfair treatment of bikers on toll...

Howzit Welsch Please explain to me how rider ability makes a difference to required tyre pressures. I thought you adapt the pressures to the underfoot conditions only. Thanks.

    WR450F?

Chilled trail riding on a WR 450... That's an interesting comment. This is a serious racing machine and should be anything but chilled. I though it would be great in the technical stuff because of its light weight.

    KTM Racer

On the KTM website they talk of a 1150cc engine for this. The Superduke R is on my shortlist, together with a Ducati 1098, but this will be right up there.

    Scoop! The new Africa Twin

In engineering one always try to make it strong, light and cheap. Unfortunately the three are mutually exclusive. The Deauville is heavy, but that is not due to the engine. It is all the cheap materials and manufacturing techiques they use to build the rest of it. A Honda CBR1000RR weighs less...

    World Superbikes question

Unless there is a rule change, the 1098 will not be allowed since 1000cc is the max capacity allowed. This will not be easy to get past the other manufacturers because in the past twins were allowed larger engine capacities (1000cc compared to 750 for fours) and Ducati dominated. Superstocks...

    World Superbikes question

World Superbikes are actually quite special. Power is around 210hp @ 15 000 rpm (14 000 for 4 cylinders) compared to stock 165hp (Manufacturers are always slightly optimistic) @ 11 000 rpm. Weight is down to 165kg (min) compared to 175kg dry (No fluids or battery). Engine. Bore and stroke must...

    Suzuki V-Strom 1000?!

6500 GBP Standard, 6999 GBP GT (Heated grips, panniers and top box) and 0% interest. These are obviously new, but I don't think they hold their value well. Otherwise check out www.motorcyclenews.com in the UK or www.motorradhandel.ch in Switzerland. You mean you are not going to endulge in the...

    Suzuki V-Strom 1000?!

Does anybody know anything about Suzuki's V-Strom 1000/Kawaski KLV 1000. I realize this is probably a very "soft" DS bike but, in Europe they don't sell well, so there are some very good deals going. (Probably for a reason). I'm thinking it could be a cheap commuter on shitty back roads full of...

    Africa twin VS Transalp

Dude This site is littered with with guys on both TA's and Africa Twins, so I can't wait to read this thread in about a week. The Cuteness told me that the Africa Twin has been around the world more than any other bike and I can believe this. For long on-road sections the Africa Twin is best...
