    Duel Sport Insurance recommendations

Apologies for reviving an old thread. Currently BMW is smoking me. R520pm for my 2007 x country. Queried this. Best offer: R500! I understood why the premium started high for me: I just started riding and was under the age of 25, but that was 4 years ago when I paid like R380pm this year it...

    Franschhoek pass.

I stay away from the pass this time of the year. I love doing the loop through F/hoek, Botrivier then back along the coast. The guys on the superbikes are insane, some probably gunning it at 300km/h between the pass and the dam. My brother almost toppled over the cliff and I've had too many...

    Oil return hose [solved]

Hi peeps I am looking for an oil return hose or a way to fix my current one which is leaking quite badly. I tried contacting a few places, so far only Donford can import me one to land in January. This is an example of the hose I'm talking about. Thanks  :thumleft: Update: The guys at...

    MITAS E07 Tread failure

Have also put on a few thousand km on my 07s. But I run them on 1.8b front and rear. Myself and the bike probably total around 230kg. Haven't spotted any major wear issues.  :peepwall:

I take my hat off to BMW and Donford Stellenbosch!

I've only had good service from Donford. Can't say a single bad thing about them. The same with Helderberg Yamaha at Somerset Mall. Always friendly and willing to help. Now if only KTM would open shop in the winelands. :thumleft:

    Going Solo-The Risk and Rewards

I enjoy the solo trip, bit of a loner myself. Fixing a puncture should be fine, but I know sweet boggerol about mechanics or electronics. If something breaks I'm farked :P Not too scared about the fall, I tend to ride well within my limits and if it gets too tough or risky I don't mind turning...

How to ride the new BMW R1200GS Adventure without a rider

My mate does that on his XR125.  Legs to the front, lying back somewhat and no hands on the throttle. :D

    Big Bag Pannier?

I got one of the first ones. I haven't used it yet as it does not really fit my x country and the clips are of very questionable quality. Looks like there are using better ones now. It was cheap back then, so I don't mind too much. I should probably just sell it and get a new iteration. :P
