Trucks have had them for years. One of our drivers went to Cape Town in our 8 ton Hino, limited to 80kms per hour. Average speed 67kmh. Got it chipped, now it can go a bit faster.

They are known as Podgers and Bearing Man sells them, John Leo is the make. Only problem is they have a point on the end rather than a flat

So it came to pass that the WiseOne must show the Young’uns , on how to ride a nice long trail to Kwalata Game farm, about 50kms North of  Vaalwater. The WiseOne, Rob, my son Nick and his brother –in-law Jacques, planned the trip over a few (???) brandies about two weeks before the trip...

Great bike, done about 8000 kms on it and about 50% on dirt. Handles the dirt well but as with any heavy bike, the front end tends to want to wash away in sand and mud. The seating position is very comfortable but I did need to buy handle bar risers. Consumption is around 5.8 l/100km of varied...
