The lower bars haven't yet been tested with a drop so I can't give you an informative answer, but they seem pretty decent and look like they will do a job.

Thank you, will definitely do that. I've already tested a couple of bikes and i decided I want to stay with the BMW brand. the GS was then my obvious choice, it was just a matter of choosing between a F800 of R1200 GS. I went with a 1200 because i still plan on doing alot more road riding...
