Was used on a KTM 640 Adventure. I believe these are 35 or 38 liter cans.
They have some scratches, but all rack mounts, lid clasps included and in working condition.
Kit currently in Edgemead, Cape Town. DM me to arrange viewing / test fitment.
Make me an offer :thumleft:
Hi Miks
1. Suzuki part 17680-50F70. Is the general consensus that the Suzuki switch is the best way to approach this? At which temp does it activate the fan? Not sure on current cost

Hey Goliath
I must have missed this post completely, my apologies! :dontknow:
Thank you for posting the link - I have sent Roadkill a PM see if he can forward me the drawings, sure will save a ton of effort. However, I see that post is from 2013.. so not entirely sure they are available.

Nice ! At what temperature does the switch get triggered ?
By looks of it it's just a new switch with an adaptor. Could briefly explain how you made that and what was used for it ?
Maybe someone in future could copy your method :thumleft:
This just in from MotoHut - https://motohut.co.za/
" That OEM Suzuki radiator fan switch is R525. With lead time of 1-2 days"
I am sure that's ex VAT, but I am def getting one :thumleft:

Fixed the switch to the handlebar and did a temporary installation / test It works just grand !

This can be fixed with a slight hackjob moving one of the wires / contact surfaces, but I think...
Yeah, I hear you on that ..
The nice thing with that, is that you can choose when to run it, but still have the switch kick in when the threshold temp is met.
Best of both worlds then :)
Suzuki South wanted R1350 for it  ....
Trying a couple of other places - last resort:

Hmm, I phoned KTM CT a moment ago, mentioned the part numbers are different from the 640 to the 690 and concluded that they are not the same.

Hi Guys
In effort to keep my 690 on the cooler side, I have been looking for one of these:
https://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk/thermostat-switch-ktm-690
Is there perhaps a local supplier, or am I wasting my time :) ?
Alternative would be a manual switch ?
TIA !
