Hi Ian, Thanks for the information much appreciated. Bearing in mind the second backup vehicle is a Subaru Forester XS, which of the two routes would you recommend doing? We'd prefer to stay together through Lesotho.

It's called the Quthing Valley 4x4 route. I see from the Visit Lesotho website it says for extreme 4x4 vehicles only  ??? https://visitlesotho.travel/what-to-see/tourist-routes/quthing-valley-4x4-route I'm starting to wonder what it looks like in reality!

Thanks Ian, much appreciated. Have you done the road that crosses the Quthing river and then runs on the south side of it until joining the A4 just north of Mount Moorosi? See attached.
