Thanks Losper I see what you mean. I've subsequently loaded your gpx file on Basecamp and the difference is obvious. Thanks for the up to date info. Busy refining the route to see how see how we can do Sani going up and then back West and South to Matatiele and this helps. Steve

I picked up a Lesotho map from their stand at the Gauteng Getaway show - It was the first time I had seen any reference to the new road between Qacha and Sehelabathebe. Thanks for confirming it, it will definitely be part of an upcoming ride still in the planning stage, even if the gpx file...

Crf 250 rally on serious off road

Drop Sarah a mail at [email protected] I emailed her when I saw that SA wasn't on the list of shipping destinations. They did a quote for me and then sent me a Paypal invoice (also gave me the option of doing a Credit card payment). Black coated Bash plate cost me AUD 297 shipped. I found...

    CRF250 Rally/DS

Quote from: Edgar on November 07, 2017, 08:42:32 am<blockquote>Is it possible to fit a carrier rack to the bike without having to drill holes or alter/cut the fairings? Yes - Precision Motorcycle racks in the states make one - for the CRF 250L, but fits the rally perfectly and works like a...

I can recommend that bashplate. There’s some tricks I worked out that I wish I’d known beforehand, so if you do get one drop me a pm and I’ll share the stuff I learned. Nothing hectic, just an installation sequence that would have worked better.

Baviaanskloof and Surrounds 6-9 Nov 2017

Day 4: Out of the Kloof and finding a G-spot We had originally planned our route with a very short day back to Willowmore. The idea being that we would either go back and do the route in the park again, or leave ourselves time to go and explore parts of the surrounds that we had heard about en...

Crf 250 rally on serious off road

I ordered the B& B Offroad bashplate - great product and pleasant company to deal with - Ozzie outfit. There were three things I couldn't find here in SA, the bashplate, the rear rack, which I got from PM Racks in the States, and a usb plug that plugged into the Honda's harness without the need...

Day 3: The fabled Baviaanskloof A little bit of history here. The lure of Baviaanskloof was what got me into Adventure Biking. My first post on this forum was in June of 2015"Quote from: Stephenoraw on June 25, 2015, 10:57:15 am Hi All. I've been lurking for a few weeks now, but thought it...

Baviaanskloof and Surrounds 6-9 Nov 2017

Day 2: Eish. Having made the decision the night before that we needed to get Chris's wheel repaired or replaced, we headed off to PE to find some help. We scrapped the original plan to head off to Storms River. Two things happened: 1. A Gauteng soutie discovered just how nasty a Cape cold...
