The job would have cost about R2000, not bad at all. The wear on the fingers is a very rare failure according to the Motorrad guy. Got the bike back yesterday and it shifts flawlessly now.

So quick update.They have identified the gear selector pawls/finger as the issue. Bike should be back next friday or monday 24th.

Bike is still under warranty. So no issues there  O0

Hi Miks My bike is on its way back to PE. The 3rd to 2nd issue is getting worse. Theyre now going to strip and look at the selector shaft. That should solve the issue.

When i ride like Ms Daisy can easily achieve just under 30km per litre at the coast. I average about 20km beacause life is too short to save petrol.

I find with my 2015 F800GS that when shifting 3rd to 2nd when cold, it just wont shift sometimes. When the bike reaches operating temp shifts flawlessly. Bike went to BMW pe, they found no issues. Also on the odd occasion when shifting down it makes a metallic clank, which you can feel, wont...
