Thanks, will check it out. Have been considering Mitas E07/08/09 or Michellin T63 as opposed to Sirac or similar. It's always a challenge trying to use same tyres on tar & expect 100% traction.

Did you decide what to put on your CRF230 ? I am at the same crossroads - my bike is roadlegal, but how to choose a tyre that can be balanced properly for long stretches of tar. (Durban to Underberg tar as needed, then into Lesotho). The more one reads up the less one can decide - seems too...

Just a shortish update after a loooooong delay on the topic. I finally found time to install wiring (instead of a battery pack that comes with the light) & a fuse plus switch for 2 LED spot lights on my bike. I tried using a voltage regulator but that just created a nuisance with the light...

:peepwall: Good article. Gr8 that u took plenty of pics, that really makes it clear. I have been on some of this route (Sani - Katse) with my CRF230 & it's not too bad .. but a bit unsettling at times. Ride well. :dousing:
