The Strom will probrbly be way too heavy for the (short) wife. My limited-experience-2c: if no pillioning, the KLE will be the bee's knees I think. Most nimble bike of the options I also think. 

Most I've got on a tank was 358km. Put in 20.51lirers, so 1.5l left in tank. 2nd best was 344km, on 21.4liters. Struggling to get to 300kms nowadays...having too much fun.  (Its my fun-toy not my commuter)

Yes okay, they beak and headlight does look a bit crappy and stupid.  But the rest of the Strom I think is fabulous! I am liking the KTM more and more.  Loving it actually.
