Believe it or not they describe it as being their 'high' windshield, there is a lower version, whilst the tall version (as fitted on my GS) is described as the 'touring' windshield. The part number as per the link provided in the advert is on the shield :-)

Same here. My parents gave mine away a few years ago... still highly pissed off! Had a red frame & fire engine red frame, very lekker!! Tried to track it down but was unsuccessful- would look great in the lounge  :ricky:

There are a good few B&B's in Himeville itself... we stayed in one of the establishments at a daily rate of R220 pp excl breakfast. Sure if you check the B&B 'shlenternet' sites you'll find something suitable. Have fun, such an awesome place! Try and do the river tubing if you can. Cheers  :ricky:

698 kms of pure enjoyment! Did the route Dec 09 so not sure what road conditions would be like now... Highly recommend the 'last third' in towrads PMB- it includes a magical section east of Mooi River which takes you through tracks & plantations ending up in the Karkloof area. Cheers  :ricky:

With my bike fitted with conventional raisers I have enjoyed many hours of (dirt) road & technical riding without any issues in terms of control vagueness etc. And following a minor off they twisted just enough to prevent damage to the handlebars & levers (hand guards not on...

I would appreciate some feedback with respect to charging my 800GS's battery through my Hela power socket. As it is connected straight to the battery (via a fuse), I think it may be an easy soultion for connecting a trickle charger which otherwise may be a mission, considering the battery's...

I've used Tech 3's for the past two years. Good, solid boot which is comfortable when riding. Saved my heel/ ankle on more than one occassion. Not very practicle when off the bike and walking around. Would be ok to commute with provided of course you carry your work shoes with you- not sure if...

Looking for set of panniers with brackets for my 2008 800GS. Prepared to buy new but will happily snap up a pre-loved set if available.
