There is some good news... The lighter next to dipstick test did not result in more fire...:-)

The engine must come apart then... presumably it will then need a new piston and sleeve if the theory holds?

If it does nothing else it will at least show if it is the carbon in the Castrol burning up or something else that makes it so black.

Not having a reference it is hard for me to say but on a cool morning it is able to drag my 85kgs up to 80kph and sometimes above on a very slight incline on the way to work.

Thank you guys for all the replies, it is much appreciated. The richness will be sorted out on Friday. The oil will be replaced with a synthetic one as suggested in about 600 kms. Hopefully the Castrol already looks better after the richness fix.
