Took my CRF450L to Atlantis dunes yesterday. First time I really enjoyed the bike. In the sand dunes, the bad on/off throttle was not a problem, since you never really completely close the throttle.
Suspension and power was perfect for sand riding.
I bought a new CRF450L with US spec ecu.
I should have rather bought the Vortex ecu instead of US spec.
The stock US spec ecu has a really bad on - off throttle response. Not so much noticeable on the road, but terrible in slow technical riding.
My 2012 F800GS is on the stock fork settings (7.8mm)
Rode the weekend 160km/h on tar road, and its solid on the road with a Michelin Anakee wild front tyre. I do think the fork internals was upgraded by previous owner.
