I would highly recommend the KLE500.  I learnt on a GN250 and then bought the KLE500 when I had my licence.  Suzuki lowered it as much as possible, and now after six months with the bike I feel quite confident!  Weight was a bit scary at first but now that I have adapted, it is great!   My 2c! :)
