I like that last picture for mounting.  The closer you get to the boat the deeper, (and more drag), you will need to place them. At your shop do you have any banding for lay flat hose? 5/8 in. or 3/4 inch stainless steel banding would be just the ticket to strap together. As per air pressure in...

There is lots of beef, problem is the packers and greed.  Back when I got married and was broke I would go to the sale yard and buy something that was defective and buyers did not want to mess with it. Got a blind heifer once that fed us for a year real cheap. If you can front the money, there...

That's it "Corona Cruiser" we have a name for the bike.  It fits so well :ricky:

Careful at DMV, give them information they ask for, no more. All states are different but here I would need to provide bill of sale for parts I used on a build. If they start asking for that kind of stuff it can be dealt with. but they do not need to know you have a complete bike that you are...

Makes you believe in Karma "We each ordered the chicken tenders, and when we got to the window to pay the dude informed us that the guy in the car ahead of us had already paid our bill  :eek7:  I was gobsmacked  :eek7:  Some complete stranger just decided that he would pay for our lunch.' :ricky:

Very interesting info on the duel citizenship. I have been told that for years it was not possible in the US.  Anyone that can should maintain their options. As I rode around the world it would have been beneficial to have duel citizenship. :ricky:

One thing to keep in mind, The United States does  not recognize duel citizenship. So once Zog gets his US citizenship they will no longer recognize his SA citizenship. :ricky:

My son made one for me much like the one noted above, biggest change was we used a hydrolic cylinder and small hydrolic pump rather than the jack. It is heavy and hard to move around but you might be able to lighten and add wheels on one end. He found the plans on line but I don't know where...

Your boss is a wise man, that is the way small business should be run. You take care of your crew and they will take care of the company. Our health care system is a mess. Mostly due to government regulations and interference. The individual market is the worst by far. We are part of a group...

Life in America - We made the move.

Labor laws vary from state to state. In the socialist state of Washington the 8 hours holiday pay would have to be counted and all of the 10 hours on Saturday would have been overtime. That does not apply to agricultural worker though. So for our farm labor we have come up with our own system...

They may be able to not pay "overtime" at 1 1/2 but they still need to pay the base wage for those hours. I would recommend you find out who to call in the state that deals with wage and hours. There is federal law but most states have added to that. I know I would be in hot water if I tried...

The traffic police at least are not corrupt but can be real jerks and have no seance of hummer.  You must have been in a School Zone, they get real picky there. Once got a ticket for 24 in a 20 school zone. At least the corrupt cops I have ran into riding around the world normally have a seance...

I checked the web site "https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/297/kw/import%20honey/session/L3RpbWUvMTU2MTkwMDU4MS9zaWQvTkxoYVR6aW8%3D" There is a link at the bottom for antique vehicles. Reading that it looks like you should be good to go after you fill out some forms. I have bought...

Registering the bike in US will be interesting. Each state has their own set of rules, hope Florida is one that works.  It is close to the 30 years old to be able to call it an antique which would make it easier I think. Could run under temp import for 12 months, that would get you to 29 years...

Fire ants................just glad I live where it freezes and cuts down on all the creep crawly. Mr. Zog have that talk with the Boss Man. I run crew real hard in the busy time of the year, 60 to 70 hours a week, (they are well paid for their effort, can top $10,000 month). But to make this...

My mate is taking a sabbatical into Europe, should he take his bike?

Really need more info, but some generalizations. If you want to ride more than three weeks it is cheaper to ship your bike in than to rent. Motorcycles are expensive in Europe compared to USA but I have no comparison for South Africa It is your bike, it fits and you know how it reacts. That is...

Now you've done it, I am going to have to go to Home Depot for Black Friday. I use  Milwaukee cordless tools as they seem to hold up the best. I have used the carbide tipped blades and they last well.  Try the battery Milwaukee circular saw, will cut 1/2 inch steel plate. Bob :ricky:

Bolts for the boat: Your in 'merica now, so look for grade 5 galvanized, (we are still in the stone age), will have three lines on head. Easier than trying to find metric. Bob

Just a thought on the well, here we are required to decommission a well if it is not used. This requires sealing the well normally with clay or concrete. Ask your boss I am sure he would know. Bob

You are right on about getting the septic tank pumped. Local law here requires septic tank be checked anytime house is sold. I forget that it is not that way across the country.  To check it right you need to have it pumped. If let go too long they can build up sludge and plug up your drain...
