I have noticed that the threaded adjuster bit on my 1100 is ALOT longer than that of the 1150 (according to your pic, Welsh). Is that normal?

I agree Welsh. didnt need anything else, so importing wasnt an option this time.....

I personally do not see the need for using lower viscosity oils under South African conditions. However, personal preference is probably also a factor....

....I use the Castrol 20W50 high mileage.....not sure if there is a huge difference between it and the "normal" GTX.....its still 20W50 though....
