    KTM 1190 Adventure update

+1 on the cruise control. Both the 1190 and GS is on the shortlist as my next bike, and tbh... I want cruise control for the long stretches

    Wrapping

Have you guys considered plasti-dipping? Not done it myself, but feedback seems very good and you can do it yourself and repair or replace (peels off in a single piece) if you need to. I guess a possible limitation would be the amount of colours available if you need something fancy. Plasti Dip...

    NC700 wins Economy Run

I just converted those figures of mine (which I had to convert from UK miles per gallon already) to km/l and mine matches yours. Town is 23.3km/l and open road is 27.7km/l, and I never consciously try and limit revs or anything to improve this, so I am quite sure I can get better still I wanted to.

    NC700 wins Economy Run

I think your comparison with the corolla is actually quite accurate  :thumleft:, and as an NC700 rider, I am not offended by the least. It is a bike you buy with your head, not your heart (metaphorically speaking of course). I use mine as a daily commuter in the wind and rain here in Scotland...

    NC700 wins Economy Run

This 'feature' of the NC was one of the main reasons why I bought it, and I am not at all surprised that it won this. In town I use about 4.3l per 100km and as soon as I head out it drops to about 3.6l per 100km, and that is without concentrating at all on economy and includes a fair turn of...

    Second-hand bike prices in France

It's a tricky one. You would have had to pay some form of import tax as you are bringing in a bike from outside the EU as it probably would not have been worth doing it on a temporary import as you would have found it difficult to insure for any long period of time. Exactly what the duties and...

Wesbank not financing on a learner's? Can of worms opened.

Insurance is compulsory yes, and yes, anyone can get insurance as long as you are licensed to ride it. Premiums will be high the first year, but that will be more due to not having proof of no-claims rather than age (after 24 years) and will come down drastically after your first year with no...

Wesbank not financing on a learner's? Can of worms opened.

It is not completely 'regardless of age', if you come in at 24 or over you can do your full license and jump on any bike. Anything younger and you are limited in hp, and have to re-do tests if you want to progress upwards as you get older. There is no such thing as a 'learners' that lets you...
