Daai pofadder het ons groot laat skrik, om n skerp draai in die middel van die pad, ons hom eers gesien toe ons amper bo-oor hom ry  :o Ons het dit maar rustig gevat oor daai dennenaalde, van die pad deur die pine forest is deel van die mountain bike roete vir fietse. Hier is so baie paaie...

Laaste paar foto's. Heel laaste een is by ons draaiplek by die voet van Prentjiesberg, en toe weer al die pad terug Elliot toe.

Ek op my KLR en vriend op BMW 1200GS het vanoggend Prentjiesberg toe gery, so 10 uur vertrek uit Elliot, oor Gubenxa/Ryno, verby Gatberg en onderkant van Bastervoetpad, en uiteindellik tot by voet van Prentjiesberg naby Ugie.

My Garmin Dekota 20 is oppad, teen n baie goeie prys  :biggrin:

Ek op my KLR, my broer op Honda Rincon quad en vriend op BMW 800 was nou die 21ste Maart by Bastervoetpad uit. Goeie blikemmer! dit was rof :o, Daai pad word glad nie onderhou nie, dis net klippe en slote. Ek't n paar keer my broer probeer oorreed dat ons eerder moet ruil en ek die 4x4 quad moet...

Don't have an image resizer  ??? Just open pic in Paint, click Image tab at top, then Stretch/Skew, 40 or 50% depending on original size, DONE  :thumleft: Just add a 1 or something when saving as to keep original pic  ;) Every windows based PC has Paint (program)

My Pooratech 42L top box from Game  :mwink: It cost me R119. Took me about 20min to fit, en die ding sit soos k@k aan n wol kombers  :biggrin: I used 4 of the existing threaded holes on the KLR carrier, just used longer pan-head bolts with same thread. On the inside of box I used spring washers...

Wel, wel, dis nou baie interesant. Ou Steve, die oceanographer in Amerika, het amper die KLR gekoop wat ek so 2 weke terug in Oos-Londen gaan haal het. Die verkoper het my meegedeel dat ek 2de opsie het, aangesien n Amerikaner die add op Gumtree gesien het en die bike vir sy pa in Engeland wil...

I went on a ride earlier today up Barkly Pass, past Mountain Shadows and to the top of Bastervoetpad. Surprised that the road wasn't wet after the rain and little sunshine we had for the past week. First time I took the KLR out on a longer ride, and must say, I'm very happy with the bike so far.

I can hardly believe what has happened  :o As a fellow Elliot biker and someone that has seen Glen a few times, this comes as a great shock to me, what makes it even worse, is that some of us in Elliot were planning many future rides with Glen and as I have never ridden with him before, I were...

Just thought I should share these pics I found; One is of doohickey and torsion spring, and the other is of doohickey and 2 coil springs Would the torsion spring be a better option, and doesn't one need to fit a coil spring as well then?
