my son banged into a car that cut him off in the crazy traffic of Dar es Salem.  The front forks are bent so need to be replaced.  New ones are too expensive.  Anybody know of a scrapped bikes where good used forks might be available on short notice for a reasonable price? Cheers, Larry

I bought a low km. Dakar in Nov. for a 4 month tour in Africa and plan to sell it when I am  back in Cape Town late Feb.  It will have about 25K km on it by then and still be in good shape as it has been well maintained and ridden by mature rider with no problems at all.  Price will be 39,000...

Thank guys, we have the two bikes now, a Dakar and standard GS.  Yes, the commonality of parts was a factor, and I think a 650 is big enough for most parts of Africa. Cheers Larry
