started building the rally fairing frame, tomorrow the big work starts also finished first carbon fibre parts, they not 100% but this was a learning curve for me so i am happy i also plan on changing the exhaust system to one like in the rally pics, so these covers will become obsolete down...

ok made some progress  :biggrin: 1) first test run carbon fibre parts are the exhaust covers 2) also stripped the front to do some paint work and remove the lens, i dont like the standard omega look 3) removed footpegs

hope is pisses down the night before, mine dust no good for bikes (or riders) marais at its best when it stormed the night before

the seat on the mtx 50 looks so comfy, wish my 690 had a seat like that looks like we moving backwards in bike design

my first bike that i used to commute to school from standard 7 in the early 90's honda mtx 50, all my mates were on mbx, gamma and other road bikes yes it wasnt orange, i wasnt born this way  :biggrin:

i did 180 kph on mine this morning coming to work on the n1 so more than enough power imho and so far its standard, only akro pipe you can also set the fuel mapping under the seat for more responsiveness etc i also frequent the Maris dunes and the power on the sand is just so addictive

its not going to be an easy project that's for sure, need to get the balance right i could go full on loco aka mad max (attached pics) but the idea is to keep the ktm racing heritage and to add a bit of mad max into it. the idea with the white rear fender is that its going to be in strong...
