I am yet to try it, my helmet was replaced as part of an insurance claim after I collided with a pedestrian, and the bike is still being repaired. I will do a review as soon as I have been able to test it.

I have one, and it is indeed the quietest, most comfortable helmet I have ever used. All the positive reviews on the internet is spot on for this helmet.

I paid R169 000 for it in November last year. With the Scott steering dampner, Wings exhausts, bashplate and SW Motech pannier brackets I am looking at R155 000.00 neg.

I can highly recommend them. Comfortable to wear all day, and does an excellent job in protecting your knees. If I remember correctly Leatt's head office is in Cape Town, give them a call they are usually quite clued up with regards to stock etc.

A lot of the members on e-dirt have migrated to www.moto101.co.za. Have a look there, usually quite a number of rides planned for De Wildt for a weekend.

I first had custom ear plugs made by the ear institute but found that the filter cut to much of the ambient sound in addition to the wind noise. I then tried the No Noise, and as far as off-the-shelf went, it worked very well to cut wind noise, but still allowing you to hear other sounds. If...

If the peak is not really a requirement, consider the Shoei GT Air. I've had mine now for almost a year now, and have no complaints at all, it's light, quiet and fits me comfortably. For Adventure touring I have switched from the Shoei Hornet to the X-lite 551. Personally I prefer the X-lite...
