I have the 2014 model, just went past 6600km. Lowered my tyre pressure to 2 bar front and 2.2 bar back for a bit of Lesotho's dirt mountain pass travel, and then the trouble started. Picked up 3 smileys  on the front rim, nothing on the back. Had to nurse the bike to Mokhotlong with about 10...

Well done guys, nice trip. A bunch of adventure riders from Ladybrand tried this pass March 2013, it was wet and muddy. We got about 500m from the (spectacular) border post, but after sending a Garth to try the first climb (he turned back immediately) we all decided to head for Mata.

Howzit Michael and KK, I rode the Old Mill Route in Clarens with you and Pieter Loubcher last year May (I think). I stay in Ladybrand and there are about 18 adventure bikers here. Next time you guys head to Lesotho, let us know. Cheers, Craig

I also just bought a new 800 2013. On tar at speeds above 140, I get 16 -18 km/litre, but I just did a trip of 1100km around Lesotho in rough to extra rough conditions and I was getting 22km/ litre.
