The fairing arrived via Davy safe and sound in Germany and is now in Bulgaria (where I live when not travelling) in the same place as the bike. It'll take a while to work on and fit it. The bike is likely to need a rebore and a new oversize piston too. Will share pictures when it's all done...

That is indeed plan B. Plan A avoids expensive reliable couriers, potentially unreliable couriers and possible European Union import taxes.
