I am in on the light Idea. Have an XR 400 that is jumping up and down in anticipation. Wont be innit to winnit but will be  a hell of a couple of days. Know of allot of guys that would be keen with 300 2T's. Maybe with fuel stops?

Hi My xr was standing for a year. I did prep the bike well knowing that this would be the case. When I returned the bike would not start. The main problem turned out to be the gunk in the tank. Cleaned out the carb, bike went well for a couple of ours and then the float would get stuck...

Thanks, this is the first bike I have had in about 10 years so I am getting back into it. Had a sweet ride and now I am heading off to Angola on Monday. At least I have something to look forward to when I come home for holidays.

My father spent a night in jail a couple of years back with some guys that were parked on the beach. All were taken in even though he was not parked on the beach, the entire fishing group was taken in.

That is going to be nice. I have been contemplating doing a long trip on my "New to me" XR 400. Would be more interested in a more technical and difficult rides. Looking forward to see how your XR4 comes out.
