Ja, I am in SA and have the new ABS, which luckily I have not yet experienced. The bike is absolutely great, not that it has balls but is a taker of balls!

Mine is the 2014 model, with the alu so-called shield under the seat. But it doesnt help. The problem is also the heat coming AROUND the seat from the one pot. Really not sure what to do about it. When the ambient temp is around 20 deg its ok. So that's what the Europeans thought...

Anyone who has driven in Namibia will know that the gravel roads need to be respected. The rule of thumb in a 4 x 4 is 80kph max even when you think the road ahead looks fantastic. The problem is sudden temporary changing conditions, very often dips that turn a quiet cruise into a crisis.
