Has anyone shipped / airfreighted bikes to Dar es Salaam? Planning a trip from Dar to CT but time only allows us a one-way trip. I want to find out about costs of shipping, paperwork needed (and if an agent will do it for you) and reputable companies.

Ja, we're planning Tanzania - Malawi - Moz - CT. Kan nie wag nie. One of the guys ordered an 800GS for the trip, but BMW say they're getting four a month from Germany! The waiting list is over 100. So the old 1150 it'll be for me, and probably a 1200 for him. More comfortable anyway.

I have the Mapquest Southern Africa V1.5 and East Africa in my Zumo 550, but somehow neither has a detailed map of Malawi. Any suggestions? (Planning a trip from CT to Dar es Salaam via Moz and Malawi).
