Raait, so I installed the engine into the frame, secured the head's ( not in pic ), fit the starter, removed my old bakkies battery to get some current going. Was very excited to see how the Engine turns and check the compression. Connected the Battery and Wha-lah.......... :xxbah: Nothing, Now...

new and improved ( 2K ) spraypaint covered head gaskets..apparently they work well with the right thikness added. Yep i dont know how much, just emptied the whole can

it seems that these gaskets were made in 1979...even when I remove them carefully from their packing. Eish hulle is stukkend,

Quick, long over due update. Got the transmisson sorted and installed

blokkie was honed, and the assembly done LATE saturday night, after the surprise party the wive organized...  :drif: everything seems to fit lekker

small correction, the rings are from a 1.6 liter mazda capella. ( early NA engine ) std honda rings measure 1, 2mm. Mazda rings 1, 5. So pistons were only slightly machined. Locating lugs on the big ends were removed, they sit on the wrong side as to the std honda shells.
