That is natural offcourse yes, thought he meant upgrade bike, as I just sold my GSA and I am of the opinion that no bike is an upgrade or downgrade from another, but suited to a specific purpose. Miles of smiles :)

Mine had a bendix issue, but it didnt click, it did not engage and just spun the starter motor.

Collected the KLR tonight. Test rode it yesterday and feels and sounds good. Paid R 30k, new tyres front and back, brakes front and back, 16t front sprocket and new rear sprocket and chain. Doohicky paid for, need to take it to get it installed. Not a bad deal I think? Just needs a nice new...

Okay so bit of an update, doo not done, but paid for and awaiting import through local bike shop. So as soon as it lands, they will install. Pic attached, thanks Groenie. So 50k km and no doo done, not sure how that affects the motor. But seems in a very good condition, with new tyres, brakes...

Its a 2009 with just over 50000 km. What to look out for? Primarily need something to commute with at the moment but will be used for a fair bit of weekend gravel travels. Have always wanted a KLR so now is my chance. 

Also have MX9 Adventure MIPS helmet. Awesome, comfy etc Also bought a black tinted visor with mine. Mine just had a bit of squeaking at first, think the visor was rubbing against the helmet. But now its quiet.
