I'm going to ride George /Namibia/ Botswanna, mid Jan -Febuary.  Did it last year and used B&B, this time I want to camp.  What do you recommend for a sleeping bag, or can you get away with just a liner.  Was hot last year but not sure if it will be chilly in the mornings.

Hi I did Namibia last February, sure its hot but not unbearable, 33-37deg.  On the way up from south Africa it was hotter, 45 deg in Sutherland.  Couple of items help, camel pack and also the BMW therma cool vest, you soak it in cold water and it gives you couple of hrs relief.  Highligh for me...

Etienne Nothing concrete yet, but if happens will be in Zambia, around 27th Jan and then come back 3rd March.  Travelling up from George in Sa, and hope to see more of Zambia - Malawi on the way back.

Hi Will be doing my out of country tax days (60 days) and have a 5 week work hitch.  I want to combine a bike trip to Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique on the way back.  anybody know if any places to securely store a bike for 5 weeks.  I don't mind paying a fee for in-doors.

I've been using the Airhawk cushion, its an improvement, but still numb bum after 4-5hrs riding.  I have ordered the "gold-gel" pad from Luimoto and will post if its an improvement.

Donovan at beamer motors in George being rebuilding my R100RT motor for my scrambler build.  The result is stunning....wonder if the wife will let me keep it on the bar top..

Attached the pics of the size I'm looking for, nothing too fancy and can have the mounts made by Black-silver.  I guess I could cut back the fromt fender to size and use that as a template for an alloy one.

The Puig was good, but stay away from the smoked effect as viz offroad in dust was bad.  I enjoyed mine until a rock fell and shattered it, I fitted the original again as I hear they are shatter proof, now have one of those wee spoilers fitted which works well.

Does anybody know where I can get front and rear fenders made for my R100 scrambler project.  Preferable in Western Cape, but will also look further if required.  Looking for a set similar to the ones on the "Down & Out" customs scrambler builds.  They want silly money for postage.  Looking for...

I'm looking for an R series Project Bike 1975-1985, to convert to Tracker or Café Bike, 800-100cc preferably with wire spoke wheels and low mileage.  Willing to pay good money for nice bike, 30-50k.  preferably in the Western Cape, but will look at any clean bikes.
