Hi Platte Thanks for your input. That is very sad news. I am not qualified to cut open these things, and make it look reasonable again. Maybe I should look for some aftermarket pipes. BTW, how did it turn out, the sound?

Thanks DakarDirk. I hope I do not have to do any cutting. The end is closed with a kind of cap and is fastened with 3 rivits. I hope to just drill out the rivits and pull out the insides. I'll also do a search on XT660.com Thanks for your help.
