KTM 300 XCW WONT REV OUT

Copy/ paste One of the limits of reed valves has always been that they sometimes “resonate” at high engine speeds, flexing in the opposite direction to that of the opening or closing, and thereby reducing the open section or even the partial closure of the passage. That is why, in principle...

They do bounce (flutter) under normal operation. Usually more pronounced at certain speeds/ resonances.

KTM 300 XCW WONT REV OUT

Perhaps you should check in with KTM technical department and let them know. Hint. In the translation 'membrane plates' are the reeds and the 'rubber boot cases' is the reed block.

KTM 300 XCW WONT REV OUT

Once again I never mentioned any pic. Do you not remember this statement by yourself? "On late models KTM switched from Booysens reed blocks and petals to a no-name version. They are notoriously faulty (leaky - can see light through the gaps)" This comment indicates clearly that you do not...

Who mentioned leaky reeds? Did you even read and comprehend what I said? When you understand how they work it will become clear.

KTM 300 XCW WONT REV OUT

The bit of light that was visible when the reeds were out is a non issue. The reed petals basically slam shut under operating conditions and are kept there by pressure until the next intake cycle. It is just an excuse by okes that cannot jet their bikes.

Check for installation problems such as bash plate, misalignment's, something wedged/pressing against the frame, too long a bolt etc. Loosen all the engine mountings, let the motor settle and re-torque them. The power diff could be gearing, pipes, filter, mapping, imagination etc.

    Front wheel swerve TKC80

Tyres are highly unlikely to 'cause' head shake or 'swerve' etc. But a particular tyre (design, combination, bike, pressure etc.) could highlight other chassis/ aero issues.
