Thanks not a problem. No fork brace, everything standard.I don't want to overspend on the bike so the stiffer linear springs should also do it for now.. One guy, but remember he is really old school, suggested I insert 20mm spacers into the shocks to make them stiffer.

What upgrade can I do to the front suspension, is there more than one option? Can I do it myself or would I have to take the shocks of and send them away? Thanks

So I went to my local airhead guru to service my R80 yesterday. What an experience, I am well and truly hooked. Can't wait to buy another one as a project bike. We serviced her back to front and he also did the valve clearances. Maybe it's nothing new to you guys but I could not believe it when...

Thanks for all the info I'm going to service it this weekend front to back. The guy who told me where to find mine also has a R80, a P/D and a kalahari so he's going to help me and teach me some more about the bike, can't wait

Not going to change anything on the bike maybe handguards and handlebar risers but at this stage not even sure if I feel comfortable with fitting these hopefully can find something that doesn't clash with the looks of the bike

Been looking for a R80. Found this one through a friend of a friend. Guy bought her in 1985. Took her out of the crate. She's bee standing in his garage most of the time. Only 13000km on the clock. Believe it. Not a scratch. Also a BMW luggage roll he bough a bit later, only been used twice...
