Looks like you will have the place running like a South African company used to be - "Do your job, whatever it takes, plus a bit more and have fun doing it". Many people do not seem to realise how important their job is to them! A few months unemployed will wake them up to that fact!
I guess you are right about the UPS, the one my PC is on powers all my entertainment system and modems too for load shedding if I can't be aresed to fire up the genny.
You can buy a reliable UPS to keep you going during outages and use the laptop when you are mobile, I find I get a lot less fatigued using a decent size screen too. I also detest touch pads!

It is amazing how much we all hate change - this format is so different, imojis don't work for me and I will need to search to fix it plus people's avatars look different so I do not recognise who it is as quick, look at Mr. Zog's it looks totally different. I guess we will get used to it.

Petrol is still cheaper in the US than SA - it is 84c a liter (R12.89) in the US and R19.54 ($1.27) a litre in SA. I assume a US liter and an SA litre are the same! :pot:
Sorry to see your situation! that is exactly the issue I face - 36 years experience, no degree. They scan your CV with an app, no degree, no read. Some eejit with a bloody MBA and no experience is more likely to get an interview than I am.
