Just take it slow. The road at the Ceres site is a bit bad, full of potholes, etc, otherwise a very scenic route. Some minor sand patches here and there and also watch our for sharp stones towards the pass at the Calvinia end. Almost lost a tyre there on my 4x4. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have the Outdoor Elements Sunny 2 tent which is a replica of the MSR Hubba Hubba tent.  It has aluminium poles and fairly light to travel.  Have used it on many trips and very satisfied with the quality.

The dam is now dry and empty.  Was there on Tuesday last week
