    Fuel Price

Let me tell you that the only people affected by the fuel increase is the bottom consumer. Every dick, tom and harry that owns any form of business, just ups his pricing in accordance with the fuel increase. And then of course blame the hike on the fuel increase. They still go home with the same...

    Seweweekspoort to Laingsburg... Beware!!!

Exactly Danie. They don't do it, because they have had fair warning. Had I been going on a trip that way now, usually with mommy on the back, I would surely appreciate the warning. Rolling pebbles scares me shitless

Why is my head itching when I wear a helmet?

My wife had the same problem. I ended up buying another helmet and the problem was solved. Give it a go. Walk around the shop with it on for a while to see if the itch starts?

    Wesbank Refund

Same happened to me. Got my money paid back in less than a week. It has something to do with private purchases where they added on additional bank charges.

    Powerwashers

I was asked to repair one of the small Bosch ones last week. Not sure if all the pumps are the same, but it was very poorly made. Two of the springs had collapsed. They use simple retaining spring washers to hold the springs in place which obviously cannot have a long life. Best bet is to buy a...

Old tools are like good friends

Yes, thanks for that. This is a number 90. I can only find the 91 on line. Agree about the dates around 1910 - 1920. The 91 I found on line was for sale on e-bay for 49 sterling.  :patch: The best part is that is still like new. Hardly any rust and the jaws are still sharp.

Old tools are like good friends

Yip, it works as smooth as butter. Nice old tool. I cannot find any info on it, but seems to be about 100 years old.  The vernier is old German. My guess about 1910 - 1920.

I have about 8 verniers. Digital, dial and standard, yet I still stick to my old Mitutoyo that I got as an appie back in 85. I am so used to it, my accuracy even astounds me sometimes :imaposer:

Sub. what a cool thread Dors. I too have a collection of old tools that I use daily. I once helped a mate and we somehow got our hammers swapped. They looked almost identical, but his one just had a different feel to it. I bugged him for weeks until we finally swapped back again.  ;D goodtoogo...

TW 200 to swop for 4x4 Quad

My dream one day is to own a 4x4 quad. Unfortunately I have not been able to find one in my affordability bracket, so I'll remain stuck with my 250 Yamaha Bruin. Hopefully you get luckier than me  :thumleft:
