I owned 660Z and KTM990R I would hand on say the 660Z is the best motorbike I ever owned.  The heavy weight is actaully advantage in my opinion, the 660Z sits solid on the European roads, and offroad.  I would not even look at KTM before Yamaha  (Trust me, I've been there)

I test drove one today, I absolutely loved it, coming from someone that own a KT990 Adv R and Yamaha WR450.  I would take the CB1100 hundred times before the KTM, loved it. 

I changed my mind, love this Honda CB100, best motorbike I ever rode, coming from someone who own a KTM 990 Adventure R and Yamaha WR450...

I owned a KTM990R , last 3 Years, in UK.    I test drove the 1190 Yesterday, at first look, against my 990R, I told the KTM Salesperson (Another boertjie from Pretoria), that I am not impressed, and in UK now you can buy a NEW 990 for just over £8000 where the new 1190 costs just over £13000...

I agree, there's 2 many Gray skies in UK. 

Actually, I;ve decided on the Black, just stating that the Gray does look nice.    I just think that in 10-Years time, the black would still look current, hence I've decided on the black.

this is last year's  "MATT BLACK"...  Also, there is the single exhaust option, but that cost £700 extra.  I prefer the single exhaust, but not worth the money

I do not know what all the fuss is about?  I honestly had more fun my 660xt and mountain bike than my adv r.  I agree with sgb, as long as its yours, you can enjoy.  personally i think the r990r is way overprised, i would never pay r140+..., they are cheap ink uk, guess its about demand, it,s...

Avoid taking women to Turkey and drinking in public.  It's a nice country, but for my money I would much rather do Greek Island hopping. 

I am not sure about comfort, but the R is not very comfortable, the seat (pretty crap quality as well, if you want my honest opinion)  Is there not a better option for the seat, or at least a better quality seat?  Maybe the Adventure more comfortable as you are sitting lower?  (To be it simplistic)

on the same note, probably not for this forum/discussion, but I saw the new 2011 Honda Varadero this morning  (It's the same ugly motorbike with a white fairing/front)  I honestly thought Honda would catch up, but no!!!  The Yamaha Tenere 1200 in White looks amazing.
