Going to the Springbok Rally this last weekend the milage tripped 280000 km. Just did an oil change with Mobil 1. Bike motor running well/excellent.

Cush output shaft spring has collapsed. Can be fixed but not for the faint hearted spanner swinger's

When I received the bike I noticed the forks were wet. I down the line I have had to strip them out & have send them back to Xtreme Yamaha in PE to be redone again. Bike hanging off a "come along" This is a great tool for hanging the bike from the roof. I hope to get them back by next week.

Those are really cool pieces of bling. Found both the front shocks wet from oil. Have to return them to Yamaha PE to have them redone again. No charge to me as they were done on 18 December 2022. Just courier costs.

Is a great ride 4 sure. Good to see you can put a spanner to work. Setting tappets is also easy without taking cams off & shimming stuff. Enjoy the ride.

As can be seen it is now fully conditioned & charged. Happy with that.

Today I did the lube on the clutch cable & it is a vast improvement. Smooth & easy to pull. Also fitted a rubber protection grommet at the pull lever side that was missing. This will keep the dirt out in future.

Looking a bit further over the bike I can see the clutch & accelerator cables have never been lubed. So went out & bought a cable lubricator yesterday & will do the necessary on all those cables over the weekend. In all my 45 years of biking I have never replace cables just due to this lube service.

Chris. The Honda went back to PE from whence it came. Just in time for the new owner to license. It was raining here in my area today so car trip. Believe it will be good to ride tomorrow as no rain. My rain suit is packed away in the boxes so fair weather rider till I find them again.

Coming Back from Paarl on the R44 & stopped at one of the coffee catering places that many know about. Bike tripped over 279000 Km. Still going strong with both Dunlop Trailmax on front & back. Couple thousand on now & they do not look worn at all. Very happy with them.
