I bought this as an experiment and it's still going strong. It survived many weeks during Level 5 lockdown, some cold outside temps and the bike feels as light and nimble as, you guessed it, any other 790R,  :lol8:

Looks like my first post didn't go through. I have one, just over a year old and was working perfectly when I replaced it. If you are around the Centurion area you can have it for R500. I do have it on a charger every now and then just in case my 'experiment' didn't work but so far all is well...

Does anyone know of a place in the Pretoria/Centurion area where I can find 2.0mm or 2.5mm aluminium off cuts for a project I am working on? I am looking for a 15cm x 20cm piece? At minimum an 8 by 10 if I don't cock-up my first attempt. Ingo

I actually like them on my 790. Did a 2000km trip around Lesotho on gravel the week past and was perfect. It's not going to get to 5k but that's Ok. Did lots of tar to Clarens and back but the rest was 90% offroad, sorry, I meant Gravel (Offroad to me is hardcore Plastic territory..)

Any ideas how to remove decal glue residue from the plastics without damaging it or rubbing it until there is no shine left? Noneking I remember you removed the black themed decals from your first 790 when you sold it. Any tips I can try?

Yip, but they do say remove the fender. I am happy to do that when working on the front end.

I kinda like the White motif of the Nox kit. Would love to see it in real life. Having had the Black Noneking kit for a while now it makes for a nice big visual change.

MonkeyNot Were you able to fit your crm probends without too much hassles? Do you mind posting some pics of the mounting etc. I tried to test fit mine today to see how much modifying I would need and it doesn't seem to fit very well out the box.

20W fork oil (as per an old 1190 damper thread somewhere in a galaxy far far away) and a 'knertsie' tighter on the steering nut and it works better than stock. Not too tight but I can feel the difference when turning, you actually have to turn the bike it doesn't just 'flop' into corners like...

That's what I meant to say, Rally Throttle is too sensitive. Try going downhill and we'll talk again, touching the throttle while negotiating a rocky descent at moderate speed in Rally Throttle mode is going to get ME into trouble. Street Throttle works better for me.
