I think I need to either be married to her or have been living long term with her overseas, neither of which I have done. The UK have a marriage visa which facilitates marrying your fiancee and travel to the country on a 6 month visa, but I can't find a similar one in SA.

They use the RH chair in mainland Europe etc, but Brits n Australia n maybe others use a LH chair.
