    My Honda CRF250L ownership experience

R195 from Takealot. Fitted mine months ago with soapy water. Very happy with it. Less vibrations, easier grip and more precise throttle control.

This mornings solo trip to Emsikazi Mountain, Mthwalume. 80Km round rip from Bazley Beach, KZN South Coast. Highly recommended if you are local. Beautiful valley and mountain scenes and a few river crossings.

    CRF300 Rally thread

Yes, I have a full system Dominator exhaust, K&N airfilter and drilled holes in my airbox. I would think the fuel injection needs re-mapping after that. I also don't like the stop-start nature of he bike in slow traffic. Like, try ride slowly in a parking lot doing figure-8's. You basically need...

Where can I get an ECU upgrade for my CRF300? 550Performance, USA said I have to send them my original and wait for them to return it.

Bar risers make a nice improvement. Rear rack is a must as a grip when getting stuck in mud.

Where has your bike taken you today?

The spirit of adventure is within you, and you live it. Well done for getting off the couch. So many are wasting their lives away. Hope your bruised nookie heals up just fine.

    CRF300 Rally thread

My RPM light comes on too soon for me on the freeway, it is irritating at 120Kp/h. I set it slightly higher just before the engine starts vibrating.

    CRF300 Rally thread

My new CRF300 is at 980Km. I am remote. Is there any merit in making a big trip for the 1000Km 1'st service. What exactly would they be doing to my girl? She is running purrrrfectly.

I did not know the rear shock could be disassembled to replace the spring. Thought it was a welded, sealed unit??

    CRF300 Rally thread

Rubber footpeg inserts came off on day-1. OEM tyres are good enough for most riding but a chunkier back tyre would help in sticky mud. Front shock is fine for my riding. Back shock sags a lot with my 110Kg's but I pushed it today and never bottomed out hard. Rebound is a bit lacking. Difficult...

    CRF300 Rally thread

Loving this new exhaust from Poland. Dominator full system with dB-killer in place. 416 Euro. Feels more powerful, although that low audio-grunt has a placebo affect. Off-road it is comforting to hear where the engine is in the RPM range, but is a bit noisy on the freeway. Will take earplugs for...

    The small bike thread

Milk turns to cheese in that topbox on the roads I ride. Backpack works well for groceries. A lot fits in there if you are a smart packer. Even a dozen eggs, remains a dozen. Loosen the straps so that the back seat takes weight off your shoulders.
