Thanks for all the help. Managed to get home from Jhb without incident. Bike does fit in a straight line without angling anything on the back of the ranger. Rear wheel was standing on tailgate. Four tie downs used. Two around the front triple clamp and on on each side rear around the frame.

Any experience in transporting a f800gs on the back of a ranger double cab. Does it fit and best way of tying down. Any advice would be appreciated.

Evening chaps. Collecting the new bike this week and already planning all the add ons. What reasonable suggestions are there for a slip on pipe for the bike. Other than sound can one feel or notice a difference. Does it have to be remapped or tuned after installation? Regards, Pieter
