"Wobbly" DR650 - Is it the tyre?

It could be the tyres but I suspect you have to much pre-load on the rear shock or not enough on the forks. I would try reducing the pre-load on the shock. if that does not help get some pre-load spacers make for the forks.

    New Horse in the stable

Nice bike, had one myself and enjoyed it. Not to be rude but your bike can't be a 2004 model as production ceased in 2003.

    Cartridge Emulators in my TW

Good stuff, let us know how the forks perform once you have done both forks. Judging from your post I presume you do some form of engineering stuff for a living? If you do why don't you make yourself a set emulators based on the Racetech design, it would make for a good comparison article. I am...

    Cartridge Emulators in my TW

I was referring to the size of the valves holes. I would be curious to know how many and what the sizes the original holes were in the damper rod and what size the holes in the valves are. From what I understand, cartridge forks only move small volume of oil through the valves and damper rod...

    Cartridge Emulators in my TW

Hey Tok-tokkie, I was not knocking your post I was just telling you about my experience with the emulators. I tried adjusting the shim stack but it made no real difference even after I had drilled out the damper rod. The conclusion that I came up with is that the the 4 holes in the valve were...

    Cartridge Emulators in my TW

Martin also made some emulators for my ex XT600e. I found that the slow speed damping had been improved but the high speed damping stayed the same. The reason for this is that the compression holes in the damper rod are restricting the oil flow when you travel over a square edged object or...

    F650GS(NOT DAKAR)Fork Springs needed urgently.

I have got a set of after-market progressive springs for a xt600e. The xt has also got 41mm forks so they should fit. By my calculations they should give you 265mm of travel. The free length is about 640mm. They are almost new with less than 500km done with them installed.

KLR 650 runs well for a while then seems to miss fire

Sorry for the late reply but my internet has been down. You will need a multi-meter, one that can test resistance (ohms)  and voltage. You can get them cheap. To test the circuit you unplug the CDI and test on the plug that goes to the harness. Put the meter in the ohms position and place one...
