Yep. I've had my NC since 2013 now.  The seat is great for 50km. Then I loose all feeling in my lower body. Luckily it has a small tank.so you stop a lot to fill up.

Agreed, the gyroscopic effect does contribute to the steering effect, but it's minuscule compared the the 'unbalancing effect'.  The simplest demonstration is that any single track vehicle needs to be counter steered, even if it doesn't have a front wheel, but a ski.

Yep. I can't figure that one out, for off-road use it's less than ideal.  At road speeds a high mudguard is normally not the greatest, makes the front end weave as it scoops air and bends, so I guess they go for road bias. Don't get me wrong, I have an NC myself, I just think it's waste of...

Hmm. I don't really see the difference.  Bashplate, handguards and knobblies. To make the NC a DS bike you need to move that radiator, make the suspension higher, have a front mudguard with more clearance, higher exhaust, in fact just buy a DS bike.
