I'm interested - I need a new front disc...did you have any luck? Water-jet cut would be better than lazer because lazer heats up the steel which (if there are a lot of cuts) will cause it to warp while cutting - at least this is what happened when a mate had a KLR disc cut.

I bought mine like that too. 11cm had been cut off and the bike had been lowered 55mm. Using an original stand as a reference, I had a piece welded into the middle of the sidestand. I prepared the piece and the welding cost .e R50.... I felt that was too cheap so I paid R100.

Did you take the remaining parts? If so, would you consider selling the exhaust? I think I have a use for it...

What's wrong with yours? Aluminium can be welded, and it's not expensive at all.
