I have a TT600 frame forks back wheel tank footpegs etc. Then I have a CDI alternator pickups top end and bits and pieces of a gearbox for a XT600. Basically a big box of bits. Clutch cover has a hole in unfortuneately. Graham.

It sounds like a starter solonoid. What is happening is the solonoid is a magnet which pulls in and causes a copper plate to make contact over two points closing the circuit to the starter.  What happens is the copper plate ends up full of contact marks and what you are hearing is the magnet...

Hey guys there is stuff called Q Bond which can be bought at Midas for fixing plastics and it really does do the job.

The CBX is nice but the z1300 is a little less complicated. Less valves and the carbs are easier to work on. Also shaft drive. Big sump is a must. Nice ones are hard to find. The project is nearly finished. Will try and post some pics later.

I had the same problem. The guide pins were seized and the caliper could not float with the result that the pad was in contact with the disc the whole time causing heat build up and chowing the pad. I cleaned the pins and the pistons as if they stick same result and put it back together with...
