Just an update. Econotrans (capetown), especially Lyndon, are stars & really competent at their job / services. I certainly recommend them and if i ever do this again, will certainty  be going to them as 1st point of call.

I got meeself a set of Alu Panniers  & a Topbox for my CRF250Rally. I hope that the sub-frame will survive Panniers (L/R) = 5kg each, Topbox = 6,5 & the frames total 5 kg thus a 21kg load (empty) Think I will reserve these for ashfelt paved roads and just use pannier frames & soft luggage when...
