When i buy a new chain i get an extra link with clip. Never used it. Question; how long after fitting did the link fail/clip come off. Thinking, maybe it was not fitted properly. And, advice to myself: check the clip frequently after new or service to chain :deal: p

Timing chain adjustment is automatic and continuous. There is nothing to loosen or tap. To learn you can read, take things apart and figure out how they work. Or ask people who know. Sorry if i offend. Jupiter knows many things, maybe has too many bikes and gets confused :biggrin: p
